Identity card

The College office will issue the Identity card all registered candidates.

Every student shall carry the Identity Card with him/her daily to the college. Any staff members as well as other lawful authorities of the college have the right to ask a student to produce it at any time.

The Identity Card should be shown to the authorities concerned before entering the Reading room or the Laboratories.

Parking

The bicycles and two wheelers are to be parked in the allotted parking places only.

Students are requested to lock properly their vehicles and the college does not take any responsibility if the vehicle is stolen. Students are not allowed to bring cars, vans, jeeps and other four wheelers in the college campus. The parking rules of the college have to be followed strictly.

NCC, NSS, AICUF, CLC

NSS unit is open for all students of the college.

AICUF stands for All Indian Catholic University Federation. It strives to train leaders, creates awareness about the rights and duties towards society and become ‘men and women for others’. The National Centre is in Chennai. Its membership is open for Christian students.

College Canteen

Boys and Girls are allowed to go to the canteen. A mutual respect is expected from all. Canteen is opened at 8.30 a.m.- 4.0 p.m. During holidays it will remain closed. Canteen is just to provide you light refreshment; Student are advised not to sit longer than 20 minutes.

College Library

• The college library 2300 books and a few periodicals and journals. The members of the college community are exhorted to make the best use of the library subject to some conditions.
• The Identity Card of the college should be produced along with a requisition slip with the request for a book.
• Books from the Library are issued using the library board.
• The students are allowed to borrow two books at a time.
• The books may be kept for a period of two weeks. A fine of Rs 1 is charged per day for late returning of books.
• After the final clearance, Library books are not be issued. The library remains closed on Sundays and Holidays.

Sports and Games

St. Xavier’s College utilizes St. Mary’s High School play grounds for Hockey, Football, Basketball and Cricket and sports activities.

Laboratory

St. Xavier's College has a central computer lab and a well-equipped geography laboratory.
